TAIWO VICTIMIZES GRADUATED STUDENTS!
The issue of lack of proper assessment for the restructuring and rebuilding of the Church seminary, which some individuals took advantage of, has escalated with the directive from the Rector to recall over 400 students who had already graduated from the school under the supervision of Sup/Evang Bankola. The Investigation Committee led by Prophet Hamilton has caused further disagreement and confusion within the school.
This committee was established to address the collapsed system and was unable to find a peaceful resolution. The school was originally established by the late Rev AA Bada. Prophet Hamilton’s review of the school only added to the existing management problems, rather than resolving them. The sudden emergence of Sup Evang Taiwo to implement hidden agendas only served to justify the similarities between the employer and the person claiming to know more than everyone else.
The recent instruction from the school to recall over 400 students for certificate repayment has caused misunderstandings among shepherds and church workers who had already paid for their certificates before the appointment of the new rector. In Prophet Hamilton’s report, he did not identify any unprofessional teaching related to student fees in his 25-page document. However, he did highlight the issue of M/C Olatunde using her personal account to receive school fees.
This further demonstrates the lack of administrative system from the new rector, who only listens to his boss, indicating that he was appointed for personal reasons. In an attempt to justify his intention to become the Board Chairman of the School, Prophet Hamilton sent an abusive message to the WhatsApp Group of the Seminary School, claiming that the school has no affiliation with a registered theology school and that certificates issued from CCC Seminary School are invalid. However, he failed to acknowledge the decision of a Federal High Court in Lagos, which ruled that theology schools in Nigeria can operate without any attachment to other schools or registration from the National Universities Commission.
The sudden recall of over 400 students to repay money for their certificates will undoubtedly generate controversy and debate regarding the administration of Rev EMF Oshoffa, who finalized the appointment of the new rector. It is a fact that some of these unfriendly decisions were made without the consent of the Pastor, who also serves as the “Visitor” for the school.
The careless attitude of a failed system should not burden the students who have already paid for the services provided by the previous management of the school. We advise the Pastor to take action against these unjustifiable decisions that go against the primary interests of the students who have contributed to the development of the Seminary School.
