The Music Director of CCC Superior Evangelist Rotimi Olaosebikan has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to Celestial Church of Christ music scene. The USA National Diocese recently presented him with an Excellence Award in acknowledgment of his dedication and achievements in reshaping the narrative of CCC music.
The prestigious award ceremony took place at CCC Great Oshoffa Cathedral in Chicago, USA on the 26th of May 2024. The event was graced by the presence of VSE Balogun, the Head of the USA National Diocese along with other executives in the Diocese.
Superior Evangelist Olaosebikan, who was in attendance at the Diocese’s Music Convention expressed his gratitude and surprise at being honored in such a manner. He commended the Diocese for organizing a music convention aimed at discussing and charting a path forward for the improvement of CCC music. He pledged to diligently implement the resolutions reached at the convention across various Dioceses within the Church. Additionally, he vowed to relay the convention’s directives to the choir-masters of all parishes to bolster the Gospel music philosophy within the Church.
The Head of the USA National Diocese, VSE Balogun has expressed his commitment in modernizing the ideals of the Church and moving away from outdated methods. He has called on everyone to recognize the dedication of Superior Evangelist Rotimi Olaosebikan, who has consistently shown his availability since the time of his predecessor, AVSE Adetiran. Additionally, he has encouraged choir members to enhance their musical abilities by studying under the guidance of the current Director of Music, a senior lecturer with a PhD in Music, who also teach at the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Nigeria.
In a similar vein, the Shepherd of CCC Great Oshoffa Cathedral in Chicago, USA, A/V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa carefully analyzes the role of Gospel music as a means of communicating with God, facilitating speedy recovery of lost grace and establishing God’s kingdom. The Shepherd also commends the tireless efforts of the Church Music Director Superior Evangelist Rotimi Olaosebikan, who has significantly transformed the ideals of our Church music. He confirmed that the Music Director deserves to be honored with an award for their outstanding performance.
