Baba Oshoffa and Baba Bada were well aware of the school’s existence. The 51st Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service of Celestial Church of Christ at The Rehoboth Family International Cathedral in Oke Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State on the 28th October 2024 was a celebration of a significant historical event at the Parish.
During the service, the 3rd hierarchy in the Church, Most Superior Evangelist JD Nunayon provided a detailed account of the establishment of Celestial Church of Christ Grammar School in Oke-Ado, Ibadan in the early 80s. He shared that the Pastor Founder, Rev SBJ Oshoffa gave his approval for the school, expressing joy and encouragement for the realization of this dream.
Some representative from the school enthusiastically participated in the harvest celebration, dancing wholeheartedly alongside the school’s visionary. The students surrounded them with respect and love, creating an emotional and heartwarming atmosphere.
M/S/E JD Nunayon shared that the Late Rev AA Bada commissioned the school in 1984, following the instructions of the Pastor Founder. The school began its full-scale projection, driven by the vision of the school. It is incredible to think that the school has now been under the management of the Oyo State Government for over three decades!
The energy and passion displayed during the harvest celebration truly showcased the deep-rooted history and dedication of the school. It is inspiring to see how far the school has come since its inception, and the future looks bright as it continues to thrive under government management.
It was a momentous occasion as the church community reflected on the founding of the school and the dedication of its members to making it a reality. The spirit of unity and determination was palpable as they celebrated this important milestone in the church’s history.
