In a beautiful twist of providence, the children of CCC GRA Cathedral, Benin City, Edo State emerged champions of Late Sup/Evang Elijah Akintan Memorial Quiz Cup, held today 27th May 2025—National Children’s Day.
This inspiring victory came on a day dedicated to celebrating the promise and potential of Nigerian children, adding extra significance to the triumph. The event was hosted at CCC Benin Central Parish 1, the very parish founded by the late Sup/Evang Elijah Akintan, whose evangelical legacy continues to light paths in the Celestial Church of Christ.
The quiz competition brought together young minds from parishes across the region, testing their knowledge of scripture, CCC doctrines, and church history. The children of CCC GRA Cathedral stood out with their sharp intellect, teamwork, and spiritual grounding—qualities that made them deserving winners of the prestigious cup.
Adding a touching and historic note to the occasion, the trophy was presented by Mother Celestial Prophetess Folake Akintan (JP), widow of late Sup/Evang Elijah Akintan. Her presence and blessing reminded everyone of the enduring legacy her husband left behind—not just as a preacher, but as a builder of future generations.
This victory symbolizes more than academic excellence—it represents the fruit of intentional discipleship, the strength of community mentorship, and the unwavering faith sown in the hearts of young Celestians. It is a testament to what the CCC can achieve when it invests in its children. Congratulations to the CCC GRA Cathedral family, and most especially to the brilliant children who brought this honour home. On a day meant for celebrating the future, you’ve shown that the future of the Church is bright indeed.
