Celestial Church Of Christ Clapham Parish, located at 204a Coldharbour Lane, London (West London Province Headquarters) under the Shepherdship of A/V/S/E Peter Ilesanmi Adigun has unfortunately found itself embroiled in a negative narrative. This unfortunate situation has arisen due to the lackadaisical attitude displayed by the Parish in ignoring a spiritual guidance bestowed upon them by the holy Spirit over four decades ago.
On the 14th of January 2024, a distressing incident unfolded within the church premises. A fight erupted during a birthday party being held in the ground floor hall, resulting in two gunshots being fired. The ensuing chaos necessitated the intervention of the police, who promptly cordoned off the surrounding areas. Regrettably, this incident led to the closure of the church, preventing its members from attending the service scheduled for that day. The news of this unfortunate event spread like wildfire, garnering attention from various national media outlets, including newspapers, radio stations and television channels.
Prior to this distressing incident, the Parish had already been confronted with complaints from neighboring residents. These individuals had repeatedly alerted the police to the noise pollution emanating from the Parish during its services. These complaints unfortunately fell on deaf ears, culminating in the reported gunshots within the church premises.
This viral message, circulating on various social media platforms serves as a spiritual warning to the Parish. Had it as been strongly advises against allowing any ungodly gatherings in the Parish hall. Additionally, the wife of Late Reverend Bada, affectionately known as Mummy Senior has also conveyed heavenly instructions to the Parish. Without divine intervention, the situation could have potentially led to the complete closure of the Parish. This would mark the third occurrence of such violent activities, resulting from the rental of the ground floor hall for worldly entertainments.
Furthermore, it has been verified that Late Baba Oke, the founder of the Parish engaged in similar practices in the past. However, his primary motivation was to raise funds to assist the church in meeting its monthly mortgage payments. Even then, he displayed warning notices prohibiting smoking and alcohol consumption, among other things. Despite these precautions, the Holy Spirit has unequivocally urged the church to cease all external rentals.
With the escape of the London Police to push any action against the Parish, we believe that the Parish will never allows such negativity while the Shepherd will abide with the instructions of God, as Celestial Church of Christ is a Church where God clearly speaks to us.
