The USA National Diocese of Celestial Church of Christ has formally expressed its profound appreciation to the USA Diocese, clergy, parishioners, donors, organisations and other well-wishers for their collective contributions towards the successful funeral arrangements and burial of its late Head of Diocese, Assistant Most Senior Evangelist Olaitan Aderemi Balogun.
In an official appreciation letter dated October 30, 2026, with reference number CCC/USAND/2026/Vol.1B/036, addressed to all Regional Heads, State Supervisors, Shepherds and Parishioners, the USA National Diocese acknowledged the tremendous sacrifices, financial contributions, commitment and cooperation that made the funeral ceremonies a success.
The late AMSE Olaitan Aderemi Balogun was committed to Mother Earth on Friday, 30th October 2026 following a three-day funeral programme that commenced with a well-attended Service of Songs in Nigeria on Wednesday, 28th October 2026. This was followed by a Service of Songs in America on Thursday, 29th October 2026 and the final Interment Service on Friday, 30th October 2026.
According to the appreciation letter, the repatriation of the late cleric’s remains to America, in accordance with his expressed wish, alongside the successful execution of the funeral programme, was made possible through collective determination, careful planning, meticulous execution and generous financial contributions from individuals, organisations, parishioners and parishes.
The National Diocese particularly acknowledged the sacrifices made by members of the clergy who devoted their time and resources towards honouring their departed Head of Diocese.
It also singled out the USA Diocese, under the leadership of AMSE Joseph Olorunnishola, for its support and solidarity throughout the challenging period. The financial contributions made towards the funeral arrangements were equally acknowledged and appreciated.
Other groups and individuals recognised in the appreciation message include donors, the Choir, Women’s Council, Youth Fellowship, Rehoboth Parish and, most importantly, the Burial Committee, whose collective efforts helped ensure that the late Head of Diocese received what the National Diocese described as a befitting burial.
The Executive Council and all well-wishers were also acknowledged for their invaluable support and contributions towards the successful completion of the funeral arrangements.
The appreciation letter, signed by VSE Prophet G.A. Shogunle, Secretary General of the CCC USA National Diocese, on behalf of the National Diocese, concluded with prayers that members of the church would fulfil their God-given purposes and complete their earthly journeys according to God’s will.
It further prayed for the eternal repose of the departed Head of Diocese, expressing the hope that his legacy would continue to endure for generations to come.
The successful burial of AMSE Olaitan Aderemi Balogun, therefore, represents not only a moment of farewell to a departed spiritual leader but also an occasion that demonstrated the importance of collective responsibility, institutional cooperation, brotherhood and solidarity in Celestial Church of Christ.
May the Almighty God continue to strengthen the family, the USA National Diocese, the USA Diocese and the entire Celestial Church of Christ community, while granting the departed servant of God eternal rest.
