The countdown to the Imeko 2026 Convocation continues with the unveiling of a significant social and fundraising event, the Imeko 2026 Convocation Fundraising Gala Night, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Canaaland Event Center, River Valley Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos State.
The Gala Night is expected to bring together church leaders, dignitaries, Celestians, friends and well-wishers in an atmosphere of fellowship, celebration and collective support for the objectives of the 2026 Imeko Convocation. Beyond its ceremonial and social character, the event is designed as a fundraising platform through which participants can contribute to the vision and activities surrounding the convocation.
The programme will commence with the Red Carpet at 2:00 p.m., while the main Gala Event is scheduled to run from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The arrangement provides guests with an opportunity to arrive, interact and participate in the evening’s activities in an atmosphere befitting a major gathering associated with the annual Imeko Convocation.
The event will be hosted by Sp. Sup. Evang. Julius Akintola, Chairman of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC). As Chairman and host of the Gala Night, his leadership role is expected to be central to the coordination and success of the occasion.
The Gala Night will also have Rev. Pastor E.M.F. Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, as the Chief Host, adding further significance to the gathering.
The presence of church leadership, alongside members and supporters from different communities, is expected to make the occasion an important meeting point for fellowship and engagement ahead of the wider Imeko 2026 Convocation activities.
The choice of a fundraising gala reflects an emphasis on collective participation. The occasion is expected to provide individuals and groups with an opportunity to demonstrate their support for the convocation through contributions, while also celebrating the spirit of togetherness that has historically characterized major gatherings of Celestial Church of Christ.
For many Celestians, Imeko remains an important spiritual destination and a central point of convergence. Consequently, activities connected with the annual convocation often attract participants from different parts of Nigeria and beyond.
The Fundraising Gala Night is therefore expected to serve not only as a formal social occasion but also as part of the broader preparation and support structure for the Imeko 2026 Convocation.
“The Imeko 2026 Convocation presents another opportunity for us as a Church to come together in faith, fellowship and unity. The Fundraising Gala Night is intended to provide a platform where Celestians, friends and well-wishers can come together, celebrate our heritage and, importantly, contribute towards the success of the Convocation. I encourage everyone who shares in the vision of a successful Imeko 2026 Convocation to support this initiative and join us on October 3rd for an evening of fellowship, celebration and collective commitment.” Sp. Sup. Evang. Julius Akintola, Chairman, International Coordinating Committee (ICC) Host, Imeko 2026 Convocation Fundraising Gala Night
