Religion plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ lives, influencing their behaviour, moral standards, attitudes, and values. The remarkable leadership displayed by the Sunday School Alumni of the Parish, to which I proudly belong is truly inspiring. The unwavering commitment of our father’s & mothers such as Late Baba Adeniji, Late Baba Adeleye, Late Baba Akapo, Late Baba Otenigbagbe, Late Baba Sogbamu, Late Baba Konu, Oluso Late Bernard Kiki Snr, Late Baba Oluso Adesanya Gbeke, Oluso Ebenezer Oshoffa, Late Baba Oluso Adepegba, Late Oluso Baba Jasper, Oluso Baba Fransis Atipejo, Late Mama Stella Akapo, Late Mama Olaleye, Oluso Fatoki, Late Baba Joseph Akinleye, Baba Obey (a retired soldier), Baba Oreniwon, Baba Odubanjo, Baba Johnson, Baba Akigbemaru (Baba Afin Ara), Uncle Anthony Onoh, and many others have been instrumental in fulfilling the primary objective of the Sunday School Alumni: to uphold the evangelization mission entrusted to the Parish.

The 50th Annual Harvest of the Parish, held on the 13th October 2024 was a momentous occasion that highlighted the incredible value of the alumni in celebrating our shared core values of love, unity and togetherness, creating a bond that will last a lifetime.

The majority of the alumni present were former students of our teacher, Uncle Daniel who played a significant role in shaping the evolution of the Parish since its establishment in 1974. The event was a true testament to the impact that Uncle Daniel and his teachings have had on generations of students.

The 50th Annual Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service garnered attention from alumni worldwide, as we joined in celebrating the strong bond that was formed through the teachings of the Church. It was a joyous occasion filled with gratitude and nostalgia, as alumni reflected on the fundamental principles instilled in them during their time at the Parish.

As we celebrate 50 years of sustaining this incredible legacy, let us honor and recognize the dedication and hard work of our parents who have selflessly devoted themselves to the advancement of our Parish. Their passion and commitment have truly made a lasting impact on our parish and we are grateful for their unwavering support. Here’s to another 50 years of continued success and growth as we carry forward the torch of evangelization with pride and enthusiasm.

Overall, the 50th Annual Harvest of the Parish was a resounding success, bringing together alumni from near and far to honour our shared history and values. The event served as a reminder of the lasting impact that education and togetherness can have on individuals, and the importance of coming together to celebrate those connections.
