Celestial Church of Christ, Emmanuel Parish, Gambia, is set to hold its 2nd Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, 18th October 2026, with worshippers, members, and invited guests expected to gather in thanksgiving to Almighty God for His faithfulness, provision, and unfailing grace.
The annual spiritual celebration, which marks another milestone in the history of the parish, is themed “The Unchangeable God,” drawn from James 1:17. The theme underscores the unchanging nature of God, whose faithfulness, goodness, and promises remain constant despite the changing circumstances of human life.
The service will be held at the church auditorium, Emmanuel Parish, Gambia, with proceedings scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. The occasion is expected to feature heartfelt praises, worship, prayers, thanksgiving, and other spiritual activities befitting the celebration of God’s goodness.
The Shepherd of the parish, VSE Kukoyi, is expected to lead the congregation in this special moment of gratitude and rededication to the Almighty God. The harvest celebration also provides an opportunity for members to reflect on the journey of the parish, appreciate God’s sustaining power, and renew their commitment to the growth of His work.
Harvest Thanksgiving remains an important tradition in the Celestial Church of Christ, providing an avenue for worshippers to express gratitude to God for His blessings throughout the year. Beyond the presentation of harvest offerings, the occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of faith, unity, sacrifice, and continued service in the vineyard of the Lord.
With the theme reminding worshippers that God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever, members and well-wishers are encouraged to participate actively in the celebration and return all glory to the One who never changes.
