In Celestial Church of Christ, it’s widely accepted that harvest season is more than a tradition—it is a sacred time to offer thanksgiving, celebrate God’s faithfulness, and witness the fruit of spiritual growth. On the 1st June 2025, CCC Holy St Mary Parish, Ikorodu, stepped into divine history by holding its 1st Juvenile Harvest Celebration, a radiant testament to grace, obedience, and a growing legacy rooted in Christ.
Every great tree starts as a seed, and every legacy begins with a calling. CCC Holy St Mary Parish, Ikorodu was birthed with purpose, prayer, and vision. Under the spiritual leadership of Shepherd AVSE Runsewe, the parish has flourished with quiet strength and spiritual discipline, culminating in this inaugural Juvenile Harvest—a moment not just of celebration but consecration.
The atmosphere on the day of the harvest was deeply reverent yet joyfully exuberant. The parish children, adorned in their immaculate white garments, sang with pure voices that soared like incense before the throne of grace. Their energy was not merely performance—it was prophetic: a declaration that this parish has a future deeply rooted in divine purpose.
As stated in Psalm 127:3, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” In recognizing their importance, CCC Holy St Mary Parish, Ikorodu affirms that spiritual investment in youth is both a command and a covenant.
The Juvenile Harvest is not merely about children bringing gifts—it is about offering their lives, time, talents, and innocence to God. It reflects Christ’s call in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Through songs, dramas, prayers, and offerings, the children stood as living altars—witnesses of God’s faithfulness and vessels of His promise.
The success of this historic celebration was made possible through tireless service and visionary guidance. The role of the Harvest Committee cannot be overstated. From planning to execution, they poured prayer, creativity, and excellence into every detail. Their efforts turned a milestone into a movement.
Equally deserving of heartfelt honour is the Parish Patron, whose unwavering support and godly counsel have laid a foundation of excellence and stability. This harvest reflects not just what the parish has received but what it has become under their collective leadership: a growing family rooted in the fear of God, and a beacon of light in the Ikorodu community.
As the first Juvenile Harvest closes its chapter, a new story begins. This celebration is not just a “first”—it is a first of many. It is a prophetic seed of greater things to come: more souls, deeper discipleship, stronger families, and a lasting legacy of children who will grow to lead, serve, and spread the light of Christ.
Galatians 6:9 encourages us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” This parish, though young in age, is mature in purpose—and if this celebration is any sign, the harvests to come will be plentiful.
To the children who danced before the Lord, to the parents who trained them in righteousness, to the committee who laboured in love, and to the leaders who stewarded this vision—we celebrate you. And more importantly, we give glory to God, who makes all things beautiful in His time.
Congratulations, CCC Holy St Mary Parish, Ikorodu, on your 1st Juvenile Harvest. May your future be bright, your children blessed, and your altar ever ablaze with the fire of heaven.
