Celestial Church of Christ Canaanland Parish, located at 3554 Gilbert Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050, is set to celebrate a significant milestone as the parish prepares for its 40th Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service, under the theme “Harvest of Ebenezer.”
The anniversary celebration is anchored on the biblical declaration from 1 Samuel 7:12: “Thus far the LORD has helped us.” The theme reflects a spirit of gratitude, remembrance and thanksgiving for the faithfulness of God throughout the four decades of the parish’s harvest celebrations and its journey within the Celestial Church of Christ.
The Harvest Week will commence on Monday, October 5, with an Online Bible Study/Harvest Workshop scheduled for 6:00 PM. The programme is designed to provide spiritual preparation and biblical reflection ahead of the main thanksgiving celebration.
On Tuesday, October 6, the parish will hold its Ladies/Women’s Night at 6:00 PM, providing an opportunity for the women of the church to gather for fellowship, worship and spiritual engagement as part of the harvest activities.
The programme continues on Wednesday, October 7, with a Seeker’s Service/Homeless Feeding scheduled for 9:00 AM. The inclusion of homeless feeding adds a practical dimension of Christian service to the harvest celebration, emphasizing compassion, outreach and concern for people in need.
On Thursday, October 8, the parish will host a Prophetic Revival at 8:00 PM, followed on Friday, October 9, by Choir/Adire Night, also scheduled for 8:00 PM. These programmes are expected to combine spiritual worship, music and cultural expression as members prepare for the weekend activities.
The celebration will continue on Saturday, October 10, with Canaanland Family Day beginning at 10:00 AM. The family-oriented programme provides an opportunity for members of the parish and their loved ones to come together in fellowship ahead of the grand thanksgiving service.
The week-long celebration will reach its major climax on Sunday, October 11, with the 40th Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service, scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM. The service is expected to bring together members of Canaanland Parish, invited guests, families, friends and other well-wishers for a collective expression of gratitude to God.
