CCC OSOGBO PARISH 1 YOUTH CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY FROM V/S/E ADJOVI.

The youth wing of Celestial Church of Christ Osogbo Parish 1, the state headquarters is deeply concerned about the lack of transparency regarding the financial management of the parishioners. Despite the challenging economic climate in our country, parishioners of CCC Osogbo Parish 1 have consistently contributed their hard-earned resources to support the Parish.

The youth are demanding for a clear explanation regarding the management of the Parish’s finances. Specifically, they have raised concerns about the careless spending of the harvest committee. Shockingly, the committee generated a substantial amount of #9,397,923, but astonishingly spent #9,345,023 without any tangible projects to show for it. This raises serious questions about the committee’s accountability and the responsible use of funds.

Furthermore, it has come to our attention that under the leadership of V/S/E Adjovi, the Parish allegedly purchased land for CCC Ayetoro Parish in Osogbo without proper documentation or agreement between the Parochial Committee, Church Elders and the Shepherd. This lack of transparency and adherence to proper procedures is deeply troubling and requires immediate clarification.

In addition, there are allegations surrounding the launch of a gallery in 2021, and the youth demand a thorough explanation of the funds raised for this project, including the bank details of the money realized. The situation in the Parish necessitated an explanation of the one-third (1/3) sharing formula of returns, as stipulated by the Church  Authority, which has not been strictly adhered to by the parish. This formula ensures that one-third of the Church’s resources are allocated towards its progress and development.

Additionally, the report of the harvest committee has become a subject of debate and is among the demands put forth by the youth. They express discomfort with the delayed release of the report and the lackadaisical attitude of the Shepherd in demanding accountability.

In order to address these concerns, it is imperative to provide a clear understanding of the sharing formula and its significance in the Parish. This will help foster transparency and ensure that the Church’s resources are utilized effectively for its growth.

Furthermore, the timely release of the harvest committee report is crucial to maintain trust and engagement among the youth. Their active participation and involvement in the Church’s affairs are vital for its long-term sustainability.

It is essential for the Shepherd to demonstrate a proactive approach in demanding accountability and promptly addressing the concerns raised by the youth. This will not only enhance the Church’s reputation but also strengthen its relationship with the younger generation.

While, It is crucial that the leadership of CCC Osogbo Parish 1, particularly V/S/E Adjovi to address these concerns promptly and provides the necessary transparency and accountability to the parishioners. The youth wing, representing the future of our church, it firmly believes in upholding the highest standards of integrity and responsible financial management. We call upon all members of Celestial Church of Christ Osogbo Parish 1 youth to stand united in demanding accountability and transparency from their leaders.
