God’s timing is always perfect, granting us the grace to live our lives with divine purpose. Each soul is born with a mission to fulfil, and Late Aunty Yinka was a shining example of someone who embraced her purpose with love and dedication. Aunty Yinka, the late wife of Sup Evang Pius Olarewaju, Treasurer of the Registered BOT was a beacon of positivity and change within Celestial Church of Christ. She supported her husband’s dreams, provided enlightenment, and encouraged investment in God’s work for the advancement of Christianity.
On 5th March 2023 (SUNDAY), a day dedicated to worship and service, God decided to called home a mother, a wife, and a woman of unwavering faith. Aunty Yinka was known for her generosity and deep understanding of the church’s teachings. Two years after her passing, her husband continues to honour her memory through prayer and gratitude for the woman of valour she was.
On the 5th of March 2025, loved ones, friends, and her husband came together at Ebony Vault in Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos for a heartfelt prayer service in memory of a woman who played significant roles to humanity. Later, a short remembrance service was held at CCC Omo Alade Alafia Parish 1 in Lagos State. On this day, a multi-million Naira building was dedicated in her honour. This building, which includes a Sunday School Hall, Administrative Offices, and a residential apartments was constructed to uphold the core values of Aunty Yinka, who always dedicated herself to God’s work and serving humanity.
VSE Afsi Kiki, Shepherd of CCC National Headquarters, Makoko, Lagos State who officiated the building dedication, emphasized that God has a plan for everyone. He said the positive impact of M/C Yinka Olarewaju will continue to resonate not only within the parishes under CCC Omo Alade Alafia, but also among the hundreds of people who had the privilege of knowing and meeting her during her lifetime. The senior clergy urged everyone to keep their focus on their heavenly home, while also recognizing the unwavering commitment of Elder Pius Olarewaju. He confirmed that Elder Pius has chosen the path of salvation, generously supporting the spread of God’s message and bringing joy to those around him through his continuous support of the church and the less fortunate.
It a fact that a truly remarkable soul dedicates their life to serving others selflessly and endlessly. Even though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit continues to bring us together. The sudden loss of such a strong presence in our church serves as a reminder of our inability to question the will of a higher power. However, we can find comfort in knowing that Aunty Yinka is now in the loving arms of God and the angels. The impact of Aunty Yinka absence will be deeply felt, and her memory will be treasured forever. Her legacy as an extraordinary individual will always be remembered, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. Let us celebrate the legacy of Mother Celestial Temidayo Olarewaju and continue to spread love, kindness, and faith in her honour!
