One of the identified dilemmas in our Church is the presence of individuals who tactically take advantage of the collapsed system to occupy positions and mislead the Pastor for their own material benefits. Unfortunately, the time for retribution has finally arrived as the Church marks 40 years since the passing of the Pastor Founder, Rev. SBJ Oshoffa of blessed memory, who prophesied a period of judgment and repositioning after 40 years of his demise.
The unbalanced and unstable leadership in the United Kingdom Diocese requires no recapitulation of events, as it operates on a negative scale of power abuse, misinterpretation of doctrinal practices, lack of due processes in approving anointment exercises, disruptions of services at parishes – for instance the incident at the National Headquarters on 3rd March 2024, and other issues. This unbalanced leadership has continuously pursued personal gains through frequent visits to the Pastor in Nigeria, feeding him with untruthful statements in an effort to maintain their positions. The Pastor himself witnessed this rejection during his visit to CCC Harton Street Parish, National Headquarters, London, in September 2023. The aftermath of this event led to a private meeting that the Pastor held with some stakeholders a few days later to address the uncontrolled situation.
On several occasions, the Pastor has openly stated his intention to begin the rebuilding and repositioning of the United Kingdom Diocese by February 2025, coinciding with the expiration of Most Superior Evangelist Amos Fastusi’s tenure of office. This declaration by the Pastor has served as a unifying force within the diocese, instilling confidence in the belief that he will follow through on his commitment to restore the Diocese to a state of harmony, unity, reverence for God and advancement of the Church in the Western world.
In less than seven weeks, the Pastor’s promise will face its first test as the administration of Most Superior Evangelist Amos Fatusi comes to a close. This will serve as a litmus test for the Pastor’s sincerity in bringing lasting peace to the Diocese. However, instead of initiating the process of transferring documents, properties, and other pertinent materials to the appropriate authorities in preparation for the end of his tenure, M/S/E Amos Fatusin has taken a different approach. The Church Spokesman, Sup/Evang Kayode Ajala recently issued a press statement outlining the Diocese’s plans for the year 2025.
While it is understandable that the conclusion of M/S/E Fastuin’s tenure should not halt all Diocese activities, it is important to recognize that creating a year-long program under the supervision of M/S/E Fastuin, whose tenure is set to expire in less than seven weeks will hinder the effective implementation of such programs unless there is an hidden agenda.
