V/S/E BENJAMIN OSHOFFA, THE APOLOGIST!
The beauty of Christianity is forgiveness, God created a platform for every Individual who turns to him, change their behavioral attitude to the ways of God and seek the mercy of God for forgiveness of their sin(s). Celestial Church of Christ was constituted on the biblical definition of God’s words, the Pastor Founder explained the importance of the scripture at every available opportunity given to him through the divine instructions of the holy spirit during his lifetime.
Forgiveness of sin is a privilege to mankind, God gave the space for us to express our shortcomings toward changing to the right path of God’s instructions. We are conscious of the fact that sins of action/inaction destroy our future, divide any religious organization, it also pushes discordant and hate treatment among people of God. One of the child of the Pastor Founder by name V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa released an apology statement on his social media platform to whosoever he might’ve addressed in an offensive manner, while he also asked for forgiveness of sins toward the repositioning of the Church.
It is a fact that V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa was a major player in the dispute between the registered BOT & the Pastor which has shoulder down the pace of development in the Church. He freely held videos on social media platform in 2021 expressing his view(s), haven forgotten that he is a son of a legend. He called Sup Evang Pius Olarewaju “ Saamu Alajo” tactically accusing him of collecting files, saying that the man misappropriated the Church fund. While he also insulted Sup Evang (Prof) Akinterinwa of being monopolistic of knowledge over the church. Sup Evang Prof Akinterinwa specifically mentioned V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa name for his uncontrolled attitude at the elders during the first hearing at Federal High Court Ikoyi, while V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa also extended his aggressive words to M/S/E Banjo of hijacking the structure of the Church.
May 2022, there was a peace reconciliation meeting held at CCC Ogudu Cathedral Lagos. The registered BOT publicly alleged that the Pastor failed to caution his siblings (The Oshoffa Children) from insulting the elders of the Church that have sacrificed everything in making efforts to sustain the legacy of Papa SBJ Oshoffa. A viral voice note on WhatsApp of 32 minutes by V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa in year 2021 also caused disunity to the collapsed system, then he(V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa) was quite quick sharing post/comments on Facebook alleging some elders in the Church of planning to impeach the Pastor from office.
V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa will forever remain son of the Pastor Founder, his presence activities will forever be noticed in the Church, the deep strength of disagreement is currently beyond posting on social media platforms. The post of V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa recollect the view of our President Elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the governorship candidate of his party in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin in the just concluded election, on the 2nd of July 2022. He said: “You must begin to visit those who contested against you and others who are not happy. Make sure you resolve the crisis. It is very important. If you don’t resolve the crisis and bring everybody together as one, you won’t win. I will come back again. We will do whatever we can behind the scene to resolve the crisis, and God will help us.
It would be advisable that V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa should apologize the way he did when he was accusing them. “DO A LIVE VIDEO” . The internet never forgets, his apology statement will not had any effect because he will be seen as a joker. he called names when he accuses those men’s , He must be brave enough to mention some people’s names in the apology video because those individuals have family, associates and friends, the best apology is to publicly renounce all his words; then he should embark with some elders from the house of M/S/E Banjo in Lagos, to M/S/E Nunayon house in Ibadan, while he should apologize by visiting Sup Evang Akinterinwa in ekiti state; including a visit to A/V/S/E Ogunremi house at Abeokuta. Some of us who witnessed the situation as been advocating for peaceful resolution, but if those who are actively involved like V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa can privately meet with those elders, explained his view & apologize; then the reconciliation process will have a good foundational structure.
