The start of a New Year offers a time of reflection on the past year and inspiration for the year ahead. Ending the year with a grateful heart for the past year is a powerful way to refocus and renew your outlook on life. – whether this past year brought you success, fulfillment, and joy, or you faced grief, setbacks, and struggle.
It’s another New Year with time already ticking away again. I am certain this is how you feel at the beginning of each year, a fresh start, joyful, hopeful, having high expectations, looking forward to good news, setting goals, seeking peace, wanting to let go of some stuff that are not useful in and to your life in years gone by, etc. But reality from past years confirms that our encounters in the course of the journey in a new year could be doubt, worry, confusion, depression, loss, negativity, hopelessness, frustration, anger and feelings of condemnation – all these are attacks on the mind. But take heart! Four (4) tips to make use of through this year are as follows:
1. Pray ceaselessly.
Engage yourself in prayers. Prayers that work, loaded with Scriptures that bring change. Prayers for Salvation, Repentance, Forgiveness, Faith, Affirmation Promises, Beginning of Day, along with a variety of prayers that address specific areas such as, Dreams, the Mind, Depression, Oppression, Confusion, Peace, and Limitations. Also, seek out several prayers included for Blessings, Finances, Favor, and prayers for Family members covering the family unit such as, Empowerment, Victory, Protection, Healing, Mercy of God, and Generational Blessings.
2. Worship God. Remember, the Bible teaches that “Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit” (Hebrews 10:25)
3. With the ways events in the world are turning out today, it has brought into sharp focus that we need each other; that we thrive best in community relationships. Surround yourself with people who are positive, encouraging, share your values, and who will give you honest and blunt feedback about yourself with the intention that you grow better to fulfill your destiny.
4. As we face the uncertainties of 2025, I want to encourage you with the Word of God in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” (KJV). The move of God in our lives increases our capacity to grow in all aspects of our lives. There is no mountain too high, no valley too deep and wide, no circumstance that we cannot conquer or traverse. Our God is bigger than our circumstances! Our experiences of the years gone past have equipped us and positioned us for victories that will transport us to the vistas of God’s glory even while we live on this earth. Therefore, the point here is that you should have a sincere desire to dive into Scripture in a way that you have never had before. Become an advocate to spend more time in the Word of God in 2025. Develop a daily reading plan.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and all yours. At the end of this year, you will not be found missing, and your joy shall be full. May the New Year bless you with unwavering faith that guides your steps, illuminates your path, and fills your heart with hope and strength throughout the year ahead.
May God bless you with a safe, healthy, and joyous New Year.
