This incredible photo captures a momentous occasion in August 1978 at the laying of the Altar of CCC North London Parish in Clapton. The founding Shepherd, the then Asst Ldr A A Magbagbeola is seen in the picture alongside other members. We have Late Snr Ldr Coker, Patron of CCC Hatton Street Parish, and Sup Snr Wldr Okunneye, Wldr in Charge of Hatton Street Parish, the former & first secretary of the 1st CCC in Overseas from 1969 to 1977. Snr Ldr AA Durojaiye, now late and of blessed memory, is seen whispering into the ears of Asst Ldr Ogunro, now supposedly Asst Ven Sup Evang Ogunro, about to receive thank offerings. This momentous occasion took place before the arrival of the Late Pastor P H Ajose in the United Kingdom in 1979.
I received this amazing photo from my childhood friend, Sup Evang Tunde Ogunro, Shepherd of Winners Parish London, on 05/03/2020. Baba Okunneye should have been one of the Most Sup Evang, as he is a contemporary with Baba Wldr Matthew Aina, Adebowale Karinounwi, Samson Atipejo, and others, all of blessed memory! This photo is a true treasure, capturing a moment of history and camaraderie among these esteemed individuals.
