Imagine this: on the 5th of October 1947, a historic event took place at the compound of the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa. It was on this day that the very first Parish in the world was established, which later transformed into the CCC Supreme Headquarters in Porto Novo, Benin Republic.
This momentous occasion marked the beginning of Celestial Church of Christ with the divine commission given to our beloved father, Prophet Samuel Bilehou Joseph Oshoffa. The excitement and energy of that Sunday, the 5th of October, 1947 were palpable as the journey of this incredible church began.
As detailed in page 23, section 77 of the CCC constitution, the divine order was received by Rev SBJ Oshoffa on September 29th, 1947. Just a few days later, on that fateful Sunday morning, the vision for a new church was revealed, and the call to action was clear – to start the church right there in his own house.
Can you imagine the anticipation, the sense of purpose and the overwhelming joy that must have filled the hearts of those present on that day? The voice of divine guidance was heard, and the Celestial Church of Christ was born.
On this very day, the church received its very first song from a prophetess named WOLISATA. It was through her hymn 762 that we were blessed with our very first hymn-
