The Easter Committee of Celestial Church of Christ National Headquarters, Makoko, Lagos has officially unveiled the programme for the 2026 Easter Spiritual Activities, in accordance with the provisions of the Church Constitution, particularly Section 99 (C) and (E), which outlines the sacred observance of the seven-day Lenten services.
The Easter Programme, a deeply significant spiritual exercise in the life of the Church, is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 28th March and conclude on Monday, 6th April 2026. This period will be marked with solemn services, prayers, and divine ordinances across all parishes worldwide.
Activities will begin on Saturday, 28th March 2026, with the Washing of Feet and Holy Communion Service for clergy at Km 53, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. This sacred ordinance sets the tone for humility, purification, and spiritual preparation.
On Sunday, 29th March 2026, all parishes globally will observe Palm Sunday, commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
From Monday, 30th March to Thursday, 2nd April 2026, the Church will observe the Passion Week, a period dedicated to reflection on the suffering, sacrifice, and love of Christ for humanity. On Thursday, 2nd April, the Washing of Feet and Holy Communion will be conducted across all parishes, reinforcing the message of service and fellowship.
Friday, 3rd April 2026, being Good Friday, will feature special services at the National Headquarters, Makoko, at 9:00am, 12:00 noon, and 3:00pm, marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His redemptive sacrifice.
The spiritual intensity continues into Saturday, 4th April 2026, with the ITE (midnight) Service at the National Headquarters, Makoko, a moment of deep spiritual encounter and prophetic significance.
On Sunday, 5th April 2026, the Church will celebrate Easter Sunday Service at the National Headquarters, Makoko, highlighting the faith, courage, and divine assignment of Queen Esther as recorded in the Holy Scriptures.
The programme will conclude on Monday, 6th April 2026, with Galilee Day (Easter Monday) at Km 53, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a day of spiritual rejoicing, thanksgiving, and prophetic blessings.
Members of the Church are enjoined to participate fully in all activities, as this sacred season remains a cornerstone of spiritual renewal, unity, and divine encounter within the Celestial fold.
