The authority of the Church has announced the immediate suspension of the ongoing 2026 Anointment Exercise at Imeko, the World Headquarters of the Church till after Easter period.
The directive, issued by Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa and communicated through the office of the Church Spokesman on the 25th March 2026, follows growing concerns over crowd management, safety, and organizational challenges during the exercise.
Members who traveled from different parts of the country and abroad to participate in the sacred exercise reportedly experienced significant delays and frustration. Many were unable to gain access to the Pastor’s residence, leading to widespread disappointment and discomfort among prospective anointees.
According to the official statement released:
“Be informed also that the 2026 ANOINTMENT EXERCISE shall RESUME after the EASTER BREAK. A specific date (after the Easter Break) for the resumption of the 2026 ANOINTMENT EXERCISE shall be announced in due course. These steps are being put in place to curtail rowdiness, disorderliness and also ensure effective crowd control for the safety and well-being of all prospective anointees.”
The decision underscores the Church leadership’s commitment to maintaining order, ensuring safety, and preserving the sanctity of the spiritual exercise.
While the suspension may come as a disappointment to many faithful, it is expected that improved arrangements will be implemented ahead of the rescheduled exercise after the Easter celebrations.
Members are therefore advised to remain calm, prayerful, and await further official communication regarding the new date and guidelines for participation.
