A significant breakthrough has been recorded in Kwara State as the long-standing misunderstanding between Celestial Church of Christ and the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) has finally been resolved through the timely intervention of the Pastor of the Church, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa.
The reconciliation effort was facilitated through the Church’s Ecumenical Department, a special unit established to promote cordial relationships between the Church and other churches. The department is headed by AMSE Abraham Aladeseye, who carries out the assignment with the approval and support of the Pastor.
Following concerns over the lingering crisis involving executives of OAIC and members of CCC in Kwara State, Pastor Oshoffa mandated a peace mission to restore unity and strengthen the relationship between the two bodies. The peace delegation was led by the Deputy Leader 1 of the Ecumenical Department, AMSE Dr. John O. Babalola, who represented the authority of the Pastor during the reconciliation visit to the state. Through constructive dialogue, spiritual guidance, and sincere engagement with all concerned parties, the team successfully mediated the dispute and facilitated a peaceful resolution.
Members of both organizations have welcomed the development with joy, describing it as a divine intervention that has restored harmony and mutual understanding. Observers believe the renewed peace will foster stronger cooperation in evangelism, fellowship, and community development among garment churches in the region.
