In a riveting and informative interview, Superior Evangelist Yomi Alliyu (SAN) shed light on the pressing issues plaguing the administrative structure of the Church. The interview, conducted by Evangelist Segun Glorious delved into the legal matters surrounding the Church and the recent meeting with President Talon of Benin Republic.
As a member of the Church for over 46 years, Superior Evangelist Alliyu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria expressed his deep concerns about the management of the Church. He recounted his journey to becoming a member in the 70s at CCC Onipepeye Parish, Iwo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State under the shepherdship of Oluso Adeogun, who is now a factional Pastor residing in Benin Republic.
The legal expert strongly criticized Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa for his illegal dissolution of a registered Board of Trustees. Sup/Evang Yomi Alliyu (SAN) emphasized that no individual has the legal right to dissolve a registered BOT under CAC law. He also pointed out that the Pastor’s legal representatives, Barrister Sanyaolu & Barrister Adewale, who are also Celestial member are not providing the Pastor and the Church with proper legal advice.
Sup/ Evang Alliyu (SAN) revealed that he was approached to join the Pastor’s legal team but declined the offer because he could not go against the truth in the Church. He expressed disappointment in the meeting between President Talon, Rev Adeogun, and Rev EMF Oshoffa, stating that it lacked the perspective needed for the Church to move forward. He said the absence of M/S/E Banjo & M/S/E Nunayon indicated to him that the meeting was driven by hidden agendas.
Sup/ Evang Alliyu (SAN) criticized President Talon for interfering in the Church’s affairs and not allowing Rev Adeogun to operate freely in Benin Republic. He claimed that the Church only acted on President Talon’s instructions, undermining its autonomy.
