The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) UK Diocese successfully held a spiritually enriching and well-coordinated Washing of Feet and Holy Communion Service in observance of Holy Week Tuesday.
The event recorded an impressive turnout, with over 200 Shepherds and church workers in attendance from across the United Kingdom, including notable representation from the Women’s Wing of the Diocese. The large attendance underscores the growing cohesion and renewed commitment within the Diocese.
The Management Committee, under the distinguished leadership of VSE Ayo Osho (JP MPIC), is highly commended for the effective planning and execution of the programme. The unity and collective spirit displayed throughout the service serve as clear evidence of the impactful work of the Reconciliation Committee, led by Prophet Dele Bareck, whose efforts continue to strengthen peace and harmony across the Diocese.
The Washing of Feet exercise was led by AMSE Adepetun and AMSE Bola Olaleye, while the service was conducted by VSE John Maforikan. The symbolic rite of Washing of Feet was performed by AMSE Adepetun, AMSE Bola Olaleye, and VSE Adigun. In addition, the female congregants’ feet were reverently washed by MC Durojaiye, further reinforcing the message of humility, service, and Christ-like love.
The event was proficiently anchored by the lead VSE Ayo Osho (JP MPIC), whose coordination ensured the seamless flow of proceedings. Welfare and protocol arrangements were exceptionally handled by MC Adetutu Ogunleye, contributing significantly to the overall success and orderliness of the programme. All Regional Heads from London and Outer London were in attendance, reflecting the importance of the gathering and the unity it represented.
The Holy Communion was administered by AMSE Adepetun, AMSE Bola Olaleye, and AMSE Wale Onafuye, with support from VSE Sam Osodi. The service maintained a deeply reverent and joyful atmosphere, fostering spiritual reflection among participants.
In his sermons, AMSE Bola Olaleye strongly emphasised the importance of Christ-like behaviour as the standard for all Christians, particularly members of the Celestial Church of Christ. He urged all attendees to embody humility, love, and selfless service in their daily lives.
The event clearly reflected the essence of the Holy Week season, with humility and unity visibly demonstrated by all present. It marks a significant moment of reconciliation and togetherness within the Diocese.
It is the collective prayer of the Diocese that this renewed spirit of peace, unity, and spiritual growth will continue to flourish.
At the time of filing this report, a scheduled Shepherds’ meeting was ongoing.
Registration of participants was overseen by Woli Samson Jegede and Evangelist Sunny, who ensured all attendees were duly registered prior to entry into the sanctuary. This measure supported compliance with health and safety requirements for all participants.
Media coverage of the event was handled by VSE Dotun Ojumu on behalf of the Media and Publicity Team of the CCC UK Diocese.
