As a church that upholds strong laws and doctrines, every aspect of our practices has a significant impact on the spiritual realm. It was not the intention of Pastor Rev SBJ Oshoffa to establish the Church, but rather a divine instruction from God to establish Celestial Church of Christ on earth. The Church practices in heaven, and we strive to mirror that here on earth.
One of the most powerful aspects of our Church is our mode of service. The Pastor Founder provided detailed explanations of the importance of the Church to the first generation of members who joined in the 50s and 60s. The laws were much stronger back then compared to the current practices in the Church. It seems that everyone is trying to implement their own rules instead of following the divine instructions of God.
The Clergy Education Committee, led by VSE Abayomi Ilori has been sparking a variety of reactions due to the recent statement made by the Chairman at Imeko, World Headquarters. According to the Chairman, he said the standard doctrinal practice of the Church dictates that the service conductor must follow the choir into the sanctuary during the Jerihmoyahmah procession. This statement has stirred up controversy among long-standing members of the Church, some of whom have been dedicated for over 60 years.

One of the most senior members, holding the rank of Most Superior Evangelist pointed out that the Clergy Education Committee lacks first-hand experience of the Church’s early activities. This has made it challenging for them to grasp the fundamental aspects of the Church’s service and activities.
The Elder Shepherd further emphasized that during the time of Late Rev SBJ Oshoffa, Late Rev AA Bada, and Late Rev PH Ajose as Pastor, the service conductor would typically wait at the entrance while the Choir, Brothers, Sisters, and other members filed into the sanctuary. The service conductor would then join his respective rank before entering the sanctuary. The Elder Shepherd noted that the only exception to this practice was during Marriage Services.
Expressing disappointment, the senior Clergy highlighted that the current clergies surrounding the Pastor have not been helpful in addressing the issues within the Church. Despite some of them having worked closely with Late Rev SBJ Oshoffa and Late Rev AA Bada, they have failed to rectify the abnormalities within the system.
In a turn of events, Celestial Prerogative News made a ground-breaking visit to the CCC National Headquarters in Makoko, Lagos State on 30th March 2025 to observe the procession. It was discovered that the service conductor does not accompany the choir into the sanctuary, but instead waits at the entrance to enter with his rank mate.

During conversations with long-time members of CCC National Headquarters in Makoko, Lagos State, who have been devoted to the Parish for over 50 years, it was revealed that all activities at the National Headquarters serve as a shining example for other parishes to emulate. There said the Parish remains steadfast in upholding the doctrinal practices instilled by the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa, with Late Rev AA Bada’s teachings being reaffirmed.

It is strongly recommended that the Education Clergy Committee organize a 3-day seminar involving the MOST SENIOR SHEPHERDS (Not in ranks, but years in service) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the original doctrinal practices. Additionally, the Committee should schedule private meetings lasting at least 2 weeks with MSE Nunayon, MSE Banjo, MSE Ajao, MSE Akindoyin, MSE Olarinde & MSE Abaje to delve into the authenticity of the teachings and doctrines. These Most Superior Evangelists should be taken to a resort center where their invaluable insights and historical knowledge can be extracted.
