It was a day of joy, honour and divine celebration at CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State, as Venerable Superior Evangelist Joseph Oluranti Ogunremi, the Baba Ijo of the Cathedral, marked his 82nd Birthday Thanksgiving in grand and graceful style. What made the occasion even more historic was the heartfelt celebration and recognition shown by Most Superior Evangelist DJ Nunayon (Pastor International Representative), Venerable Superior Evangelist Afsi Kiki, Shepherd of CCC National Headquarters, Makoko, Lagos State who all extolled the virtues of the celebrant with deep affection and reverence.
For over years, V/S/E Joseph Ogunremi has stood as a shining example of unwavering faith, steadfast leadership and humility in service to God. His journey in Celestial Church of Christ remains an inspiring testimony of loyalty to the altar, obedience to divine calling, and unshakable dedication to the vision of the Pastor Founder, Rev. SBJ Oshoffa.
The Celebrant! Venerable Superior Evangelist Joseph Oluranti Ogunremi
In his message of goodwill, M/S/E JD Nunayon described V/S/E Ogunremi as “a pillar in the apostolic heritage of the Church and a man whose loyalty has never wavered.”
He applauded the celebrant’s long-standing commitment to the Church and his unbroken record of service, affirming that the Church needs more men like him: “Daddy Ogunremi is not only a vessel of grace but a living testimony of faithfulness. His dedication to the Church is beyond history, it is legacy. We celebrate his life because he has helped others find the path of Christ.” M/S/E JD Nunayon
Speaking with heartfelt admiration, Most Superior Evangelist JD Nunayon referred to V/S/E Ogunremi as one of the custodians of order and tradition in the Celestial Church. He recalled the celebrant’s instrumental role in the construction of the Imeko Basilica and establishment of the Church Seminary School Campus and his unwavering support for the growth of the Church nationwide. “Whenever history is written, the name Joseph Ogunremi must be written in bold letters. His contributions cannot be erased; his loyalty cannot be forgotten; and his impact will be felt across generations.” – M/S/E Nunayon.
The Thanksgiving Service was beautifully adorned with spiritual hymns, procession, choir renditions, heartfelt prayers, and special tributes from ministers, family members and guests from far and near.
The atmosphere was filled with gratitude as V/S/E Ogunremi danced joyfully with his wife, Mother Celestial Prophetess Ojeronke Ogunremi, children, grandchildren and spiritual sons and daughters across the world. The pews were filled with dignitaries, elders of the Church, ministers of the gospel, community leaders and friends who came to celebrate a rare gem. The service reflected thanksgiving, longevity, purity, godly living and generational impact.
As V/S/E Joseph Ogunremi journeys into his 82nd year, the Celestial Church of Christ lifts its voice in gratitude to God for preserving a man of honour. His life is a compass for younger ministers and a testimony that those who serve God sincerely will never lose their reward.
May the grace of God continue to strengthen him. May his light never grow dim.
