Seven years may have passed, but the memory and impact of Late Superior Evangelist Akintan remain alive in the hearts of those he touched, especially through his unwavering service in the vineyard of Christ. A prophet, a shepherd, a spiritual pillar – Sup/Evang Akintan was more than a man of God; he was a divine vessel chosen to plant seeds of salvation and hope through Celestial Church of Christ.
As the planter of CCC Benin Central Parishes, his legacy is etched in the very fabric of worship across those sacred altars. He was known not just for his prophetic gifts, but for the depth of his dedication, commitment, and the sacrificial life he lived for the Gospel. With every sermon and spiritual direction, he led countless souls closer to Christ. His humility and generosity lifted many, and his spiritual insight provided light in moments of darkness.
Late Superior Evangelist Akintan & his wife (M/C Akintan).
Yet, when his sudden departure left a deep vacuum, it was Mother Celestial Akintan, his devoted wife, who rose with grace, strength, and faith to carry forward his legacy. In the face of grief, she embraced purpose. Today, she continues the mission they once shared, expanding parishes, preaching the salvation of God and upholding the values her husband stood for.
In her words, the memory of her husband is not one of sorrow, but of purpose, courage, and divine fulfillment. She remembers him not just as her beloved partner, but as a general in God’s army—a man whose calling was loud, clear, and wholly answered.
As we remember 7 years of his transition to glory, we do not mourn without hope. We celebrate a life that echoes through testimonies, endures through ministries, and inspires through his wife’s continued work. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace, and may his spiritual legacy live on—through every soul touched and every parish birthed in his name.
