About a decade ago, Oluso Maradona orchestrated what many within the church now remember as a quiet but calculated coup d’état. His ambition was devilry—he sought to unseat the Pastor and position himself as the rightful spiritual leader. Though the attempt failed to materialize into an official takeover, the repercussions have echoed through the church ever since, as his actions will be told to unborn generation to come.
Rather than maintaining his assigned post as a shepherd, Oluso Maradona embedded himself at the church management, constantly involving himself in high-level administrative affairs. He began to operate beyond the bounds of his office, acting with the air and authority of the very Pastor he once sought to depose.
Oluso Maradona has become a divisive figure, always dismantling the established structure of the Church for personal gain. In a brazen display of authority, he appointed only his loyalists to key committees in the Church administration—clearly as a strategy to further his ambition of taking over the Church’s leadership. This move sidestepped all existing protocols and laid the foundation for a self-serving empire within the Church’s administration.
In a questionable act, he convened a meeting with a parish embroiled in internal crisis—deliberately excluding members of both the Disciplinary Committee and the Taskforce Committee. It’s no surprise, since he personally handpicked those committee members to serve his own interests.
His conduct has not gone unnoticed. Senior lieutenants & Elders have repeatedly found their authority undermined. While the Pastor strives to lead with integrity, Oluso Maradona frequently whispers into his ears—not to uplift, but to mislead. His counsel, often wrapped in false loyalty, has sowed confusion, stoked division, and slowly eroded trust in the leadership.
His intentions became even more evident when he unilaterally selected 104 members for the Pastor Founder Remembrance Service—without consulting his siblings. Their outright rejection of this decision exposed his covert agenda and highlighted the growing resistance to his manipulative tactics.
Observers within the church have grown increasingly concerned that Oluso Maradona intentions are not rooted in service, but in self-interest. By weakening the Pastor’s credibility, he seems to be laying the groundwork for a second attempt at leadership, not through anointing or calling, but through manipulation and spiritual sabotage.
