Every organisation, no matter how spiritually grounded must experience moments of challenge. Such challenges, often fueled by elements that undermine integrity and promote disunity, create avenues for misinformation and deliberate falsehoods tools frequently exploited to advance ungodly agendas.
Celestial Church of Christ, Ifako Parish, Lagos has recently been the subject of misleading and fake information circulated on social media by certain individuals seeking to misinform the public and disrupt the peace of the Parish. Despite these attempts, the Parish continues steadfastly in the fulfillment of its divine mandate, undeterred by the actions of individuals whose intentions stand contrary to the will of God and whom heaven has disowned.
Clarifying the situation, the Parish Shepherd, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Wale Sutton, has categorically dismissed all rumours suggesting any form of service disruption or insecurity within the Parish. He reaffirmed that CCC Ifako Parish remains firmly established and will not submit to any external force or self-serving individuals attempting to hijack the worship centre for personal ambition.
V/S/E Sutton further assured members and the general public that the Parish will never revert to the control of individuals whose actions seek to insult the divine mandate upon the Church. According to him, in line with established Celestial Church of Christ doctrinal practices, the Parish has fully regained its strength and spiritual stability following its reopening. He confirmed that the Cross Over Service scheduled for Wednesday, 31st December 2025, commencing at 10:00 p.m., as well as the New Moon Service on Thursday, 1st January 2026 will hold as planned, alongside all other regular Church services as outlined in the Celestial Church of Christ calendar.
Addressing security concerns, V/S/E Sutton emphasized that adequate measures have been put in place in collaboration with relevant security agencies, including the Department of State Services (DSS) to ensure the safety of worshippers and prevent any unforeseen incidents. He added that individuals suspected of planning or promoting acts capable of disrupting the peace of the Parish have been identified and appropriate lawful steps are being taken in accordance with due process.
He concluded by urging members of the public to disregard all rumours of service disruption, assuring everyone that CCC Ifako Parish, Lagos State remains safe, peaceful, and open for worship.
