A significant portion of the Mother Parishes of the Church has become embroiled in a heated disagreement with the Church administration over the imposition of shepherd/policies. This discord with the Mother Parish in the United Kingdom has taken a new turn with the circulation of a viral video showcasing Parish members vehemently rejecting any attempt to transfer their Shepherd V/S/E Bayo King.
The Church administration has regrettably lost the trust and authority of the majority of the Mother Parishes due to their heavy-handed approach in dealing with worshippers. Several Parishes including-
CCC Makoko National Headquarters Parish, Yaba Lagos have declared their separation from the Church authority. They adamantly refuse to accept the dissolution of the registered BOT and firmly stand against the implementation of open policies to manage the Church administration.
Similarly, CCC Yemetu Archdiocese Parish in Ibadan has taken a resolute stance to distance themselves from the Church authority, which has shown reluctance in adopting a more modern administrative structure.
Across the Atlantic, CCC Metropolitan Archdiocese Parish in Washington DC USA has publicly voiced their rejection of the transfer of M/S/E Olarinde from their Parish. The Parish strongly disagrees with the decision to relocate a shepherd who played a pivotal role in restoring normalcy to their Parish.
Joining this chorus of dissent, CCC Hatron Street Parish in London has also declared their unwavering intention to resist any attempt to foster a negative atmosphere within their Parish through the proposed transfer of their Shepherd.
Currently, CCC Hatron Street Parish London is facing a significant challenge through the backdoor policies of M/S/E Fatusi who want to take complete control of the Parish against the wishes of the Parishioners who disagree with his leadership style.
In a viral video circulating on various social media platforms, the Parish recently held a meeting on the 29/10/2023 immediately after the service to publicly address the disruptive actions of certain individuals within the Parish. The Parishioners expressed their strong opposition to any attempts to remove their Shepherd and the meeting unanimously passed a vote of confidence on V/S/E Bayo King granting him an additional of two years of elongation.
During the Pastor visitation to United Kingdom in September 2023, the Chairman of the Parish Parochial Committee attempted to deliver a letter to the Pastor. However, a group of individuals prevented him from doing so, resulting in a physical confrontation. Subsequently, the Pastor left CCC Hatron Street Parish London without any prior announcement.
It Is evident that some of Church administration’s actions have caused a significant rift within the Mother Parishes, leading to widespread discontent and a loss of faith in their leadership. The time has come for a more inclusive and collaborative approach that respects the wishes and concerns of the Parish members. Only through open dialogue and a genuine commitment to understanding can the Church hope to regain the trust and support of its congregants.
It is now imperative for the Pastor to engage in extensive consultation to rebuild the church administration under his supervision. The Church is currently grappling with internal crises that surpass the limits of human imagination.
