Celestial Church of Christ doctrine is unwavering in its commitment to upholding the principles that glorify God and establish His authority over humanity. It very close that the inception of the doctrine does not show favouritism towards any member, as its laws are not created to cater to individual convenience, but to honour the divine manifestation of God. However, there have been instances where protocol officers working with Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa have disregarded the Church guidelines, dressing inappropriately and failing to uphold the standards expected of them. This behaviour not only reflects poorly on the Pastor’s position but also sets a negative example for other members, leading them to act inappropriately as well.
On the 3rd of November 2024, one of the Pastor’s aides, A/V/S/E Bartholomew was spotted accompanying Pastor Oshoffa at the local wing of Muritala International Airport in Ikeja. What caught the attention of many was A/V/S/E Bartholomew’s attire – he was wearing a cassock with the rank of Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist, but without a girdle. This oversight may seem minor, but in the context of the Church’s strict guidelines, it was a significant breach of protocol.
It was on record in February 2024, during a Pastoral Visitation to CCC Ijaiye Cathedral in Abeokuta, Ogun State, A/V/S/E Bartholomew was observed wearing the rank of Superior Senior Elder Brother with improperly attached lace, a clear violation of the principles of Celestial Church of Christ. It is disconcerting when individuals closely associated with the Pastor fail to adhere to the Church’s guidelines for garment sewing.

It has been noted that A/V/S/E Bartholomew consistently dresses without completing his outfit, which not only disrespects the Pastor’s Office but also fails to set a proper example as an officer within the Church. This behaviour is not only a disappointment to those who look to him for guidance but also reflects poorly on the Pastor’s close aides, who are meant to uphold the values of the institution over which the Pastor presides.
It is crucial for all members of Celestial Church of Christ, especially those in positions of authority to adhere to the established rules and regulations. By doing so, they not only show respect for the Church and its teachings but also set a positive example for others to follow.
