Recently, there was an incident where Habeeb Okikiola Badmus popularity known as Portable, an hip-hop artist who also own a bar displayed unruly behaviour towards a Pastor who was preaching the gospel in front of his bar. This incident sparked controversy and garnered reactions from religious leaders, including Prophet Isaac Samuel, Shepherd of CCC Abraham of Seed Parish in Agbado, Lagos State.
It is widely believed that every individual in Nigeria has the fundamental right to express their opinions within the confines of the law. In this case, the Pastor was insulted, which goes against Nigerian laws that prohibit attacks on fellow citizens. Additionally, the law also prohibits individuals from disturbing the peace and comfort of others, as Portable claimed.
While Prophet Isaac Samuel has expressed his displeasure at the public embarrassment suffered by the Pastor, it is important to also address the issue of the abuse of dressing within Celestial Church of Christ doctrinal practice as been notified through various pictures of Prophet Isaac Samuel.
It is a well-established fact that every aspect of CCC doctrine, including the mode of dressing, was not the creation of the Pastor Founder, Rev. Prophet SBJ Oshoffa. He did not have the intention of establishing a church; rather, it was God’s primary objective to use him as a vessel for propagating His works on earth. Rev. SBJ Oshoffa wholeheartedly accepted this calling and dedicated 38 years of his life to it. The majority of the basic ordinances given to the Church were divine instructions, as directed by the Holy Spirit. This includes our garment and girdle (Amure).

The way in which Prophet Isaac Samuel ties his girdle (Amure) is a clear deviation from the established mode of dressing in our Church. It does not accurately represent the true definition of God’s mandates for the Church. This discrepancy was brought to light during an investigation into various pictures showing the Shepherd of CCC Abraham of Seed Parish, Agbado Lagos State, unconsciously allowing his girdle (Amure) to move around his waist without proper guidance.
As a Pastor representative in accordance with Section 112 to 114 of the Church Constitution, Prophet Isaac Samuel serves as a shining example to the members of his parish. He should embodies the teachings of Jesus Christ and utilizes Celestial Church of Christ as a blueprint to uplift and transform the world, steering it away from negativity. It is imperative that he maintains a professional appearance, as it would be inappropriate for him to be perceived as a misrepresentative individual due to his attire and hairstyle.
This incident serves as a reminder that all individuals, regardless of their position or beliefs, should adhere to the guidelines and principles set forth by their respective religious institutions.
