Venerable Superior Evangelist Joseph Oluranti Ogunremi, affectionately called Baba Ijo, mark his 82nd birthday, a milestone that honors over five decades of dedicated service to Celestial Church of Christ. Alongside him stands his beloved wife, Mother Celestial Prophetess Ojeronke Ogunremi, whose unwavering support and partnership have been instrumental in his ministry.
Baba Ijo was born in Efon Village, near Ilugun, Abeokuta/Ibadan, into a family blessed with many children. He was the ninth child of his mother, yet providence marked him as the only one to fully answer God’s call. His birth was intertwined with the ministry of a revered Reverend who, tragically, passed away just three months after welcoming him into the world. From this early loss emerged a life constantly guided by divine providence—a life that would later shine as an example of faith, resilience, and spiritual leadership. Baba Ijo’s commitment to God and to Celestial Church of Christ has been unwavering. Over more than 50 years, he has been faithful to the Church with diligence, humility, and passion. From his early days of preaching and community outreach to his current role as Baba Ijo, he has always prioritized the spiritual growth and well-being of his congregation. His sermons, counseling, and personal mentorship have transformed lives, offering guidance to young and old alike, and inspiring many to dedicate their own lives to service.
