The transformation of dreams to reality was put in place with the endless commitment of the pervious BOT led by Most Superior Evangelist Banjo. The construction of the Bascilia at Imeko which cost the Church over 2 billion naira, without applying for loans from any financial institution will remain a historic achievement of the Church.
The name of Sup Evang Olarewaju Pius was on the lips of every Celestian who witnessed the physical achievement by the Building Committee led through the knowledgeable ideals of A/V/S/E Ogunremi with the cooperation of the registered BOT. Some senior clergies who attended the laying of the Bascilia during the era of the Pastor Founder Papa SBJ Oshoffa knelt down to appreciate the opportunity given to them to witness the completion of the Bascilia.
However, some members allowed negativity attitude to override the collective interest of other members who care about the development of the Church, the misunderstanding between the Pastor & the registered BOT has continuously affected every aspect of the Church. We have not publicly gather to commission any project from the National Headquarters by the Pastor since 2021; rather we have attacked ourselves through every available opportunity in a way to defend our actions/ inactions.
Two major players who are actively involved in the dispute had compared the path of standardization of the pervious registered BOT & those managing the administration of the church presently. One of the new member of the BOT, Prophet Soyemi who led the campaign of misappropriation of fund against the previous registered BOT, granted an online interview to apply his mistake while he (Prophet Soyemi) confessed that truly Sup Evang Pius Olarewaju remain the best treasurer in the history of the Church. He apologized to Sup Evang Olarewaju, Sup Evang (Prof) Akinterinwa , M/S/E Nunayon & M/S/E Banjo to return to the administration of the Church. He admitted that Sup Evang Olarewaju worked for the betterment of the Church while he used his personal income to make advance of the Church.
Another player, V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa who had various videos on social media platforms had also established his mistake of leveling allegations against the registered BOT. He has applied caution to his behavioral attitude to those Elders, he also secretly sent messages to these Elders apologizing to them with the intention to rebuild his relationship with them.
During the wake keeping service of Sup Evang Olarewaju’s wife held in Lagos, every member was surprised to see Prophet Soyemi in the service, while he also went to the house of Sup Evang Olarewaju to pay him a condolence visit. The truth finally resurfaced after 3 years of legal battle which has generated lots of enemity in our Church.
We knew what Sup Evang Olarewaju contributed toward the evolution of the church in the past, we remembered how he sacrificed his time to restore accountability to the system; but his absence & others had given room for negative stereotype back to the corridor of authority in the Church. We know who you are; while we know what you stand for.
Let it be clear to Sup Evang Olarewaju, Sup Evang (Prof) Akinterinwa, M/S/E Nunayon & M/S/E Banjo that your absence in the administration of the Church has caused discord for us. We have experienced the comparative theory from both sides. All the activities which we advocate for has been complete downtrend back to genesis. We plead that the Pastor should open a sincere reconciliatory process without delaying the mindset of concerned members who are patiently waiting for the togetherness of the registered BOT & the Pastor.
