The United Aladura Churches Inc. is set to host a two-day Global Convention 2026, bringing together worshippers, church leaders, ministers, youths, women and Christian faithful from different backgrounds for a time of spiritual renewal, fellowship, prayer and thanksgiving.
The convention, themed “THY KINGDOM COME”, drawn from Matthew 6:10, is scheduled to take place on Friday, 6th and Saturday, 7th November 2026, at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Agidingbi Cathedral, Archdiocese Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Themed around the prayer of Jesus Christ, “Thy kingdom come,” the convention is expected to focus attention on the manifestation of God’s kingdom in the lives of believers, families, churches and society. The theme also serves as a call to Christians to seek God’s will, righteousness, peace and spiritual transformation.
The two-day programme will feature a wide range of activities designed to address the spiritual and social needs of participants. Among the programmes lined up are the 22nd Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, Free Medical Outreach, Word and Prayer Sessions, Choir Musical Competition, Leadership Seminar, Rally for Jesus, Breakout Sessions, Open-Air Revival, Spiritual Consultation, Youth Development Programme and Women Development Programme, among other activities.
The Free Medical Outreach is expected to provide an opportunity for members of the public and convention participants to access basic medical services and health guidance, further demonstrating the importance of combining spiritual ministry with practical concern for human wellbeing.
The Leadership Seminar will also provide an avenue for church leaders and emerging leaders to examine issues surrounding effective Christian leadership, responsibility, service and the advancement of the work of God. Similarly, the youth and women development programmes are expected to encourage empowerment, spiritual growth, leadership development and greater participation in Christian ministry.
Another major attraction of the convention will be the Choir Musical Competition, which will provide participating choirs an opportunity to showcase their musical talents while celebrating the rich heritage of Christian worship through music. The Rally for Jesus and Open-Air Revival are also expected to take the message of the Gospel beyond the conventional church setting.
The convention will equally feature Spiritual Consultation, Word and Prayer Sessions and various breakout activities, giving participants opportunities for spiritual counselling, personal reflection, prayer and deeper engagement with the Word of God.
The event is being hosted by Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, with Most Rev. Araloyin Isaiah Oyeyemi, President of the United Aladura Churches Incorporated, serving as the Chief Host.
The convention is also being announced by Most Superior Evangelist S. O. Banjo, Doyen, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, whose involvement further underscores the significance of the gathering within the wider Aladura Christian community.
As the United Aladura Churches Inc. prepares to welcome participants to Lagos, the organisers are inviting Christians and members of the public to make the two-day gathering a date with God. The convention promises to be a period of thanksgiving, worship, fellowship, evangelism, spiritual impartation and renewed commitment to the Christian faith.
The biblical theme, “THY KINGDOM COME,” remains a powerful reminder of the responsibility of believers to pray for and actively pursue the establishment of God’s will on earth.
As recorded in Matthew 6:10: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
