The State of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin (Region B) USA National Diocese of Celestial Church of Christ has announced tentative arrangements for the final rites of the late AMSE Olaitan Balogun, former Head of the USA National Diocese, who passed away on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026.
According to an official update signed by VSE Benjamin O. Oshoffa (MPIC), State Supervisor, the funeral arrangements will commence with a Service of Songs in Nigeria on Wednesday, 21st October 2026. This will provide an opportunity for family members, church leaders, clergy and members to pay their final respects and celebrate the life and service of the late AMSE Balogun.
The notice further states that a Service of Songs will be held in Chicago on Thursday, 22nd October 2026, bringing together members of the Celestial Church of Christ and the wider community in the United States to honour the memory of the deceased.
