Palm Sunday once again stood as a powerful reminder of the spiritual heritage and divine ordinance given to Celestial Church of Christ by the Pastor Founder, Samuel Bilehou Joseph Oshoffa. A day divinely instituted, not just as a celebration, but as a sacred symbol of victory, humility, and collective identity in Christ.
From Porto-Novo—the cradle of the Church’s early establishment—to the ever-bubbling Makoko National Headquarters, the spiritual energy of Palm Sunday resonated deeply. At Ketu International Headquarters, thousands gathered in reverence, while at Yemetu Archdiocese, Ibadan the celebration echoed with hymns of gratitude and revival.
Across continents, the story remained the same unity in diversity. From the vibrant gatherings in the UK Diocese to the spiritually uplifting assemblies in the USA Diocese, and from the growing folds in the South Africa Diocese to the steadfast congregations in the France Diocese and Ireland Diocese, Celestians all over the world lifted their palms in one accord declaring faith, hope, and oneness in Christ.
Though differences may exist in administration, structure, and leadership expressions, Palm Sunday once again proved that the foundation remains unshaken. The white garment remains a symbol of purity, the hymns a unifying language, and the faith one body in Christ.
The atmosphere was filled with colour, joy, and deep spiritual reflection. Streets and church premises came alive with processions, prayers, prophetic songs, and heartfelt dancing. Children, youths, elders, and shepherds alike marched with palm fronds, symbolizing victory and submission to the King of Glory.
Indeed, beyond doctrines and divisions, Palm Sunday has become a divine bridge connecting Celestians from every parish, every diocese, and every nation.
One Church. One Faith. One Divine Mandate.
As the palms were lifted high across nations, so was a message sent to the world: In Christ, our unity is greater than our differences.
