Celestial Church of Christ worldwide is set to commemorate Palm Sunday with solemnity, joy, and deep spiritual reflection across all parishes on the 29th March 2026.
Palm Sunday, which marks the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, is a significant event in the Christian calendar and signals the beginning of the Holy Week. In line with this sacred observance, CCC parishes are expected to hold special services filled with prayers, praises, and processions.
Members will gather in white garments, waving palm fronds as a symbol of victory, peace, and reverence to the King of Kings. The services will also feature scriptural teachings centered on humility, sacrifice, and the redemptive journey of Christ.
Church authorities have encouraged all members to participate actively and maintain orderliness throughout the celebrations, emphasizing the spiritual importance of the day beyond its ceremonial expressions.
Across Nigeria and in diaspora parishes, Palm Sunday will not only be a moment of remembrance but also an opportunity for renewal of faith and commitment as the Church prepares for the events leading to Easter.
