From the heart of Lagos in 1975, a divine instruction gave birth to a Parish that would stand as a beacon of salvation, healing, and spiritual transformation, Celestial Church of Christ Akoka Parish, Lagos located at No 3, Afolabi Brown Street, Akoka, Lagos. Today, the legacy of that divine establishment continues to speak with power, as one of its founding instruments, Venerable/Superior Evangelist Fetus Otele, reflects with joy and gratitude.
From its inception, CCC Akoka Parish, Lagos State has stood as a spiritual beacon, a place of healing, deliverance, restoration and salvation, passionately championing the original mission of Celestial Church of Christ. V/S/E Otele, who was present at the foundation of the parish, emphasized that the parish was not a product of human vision, but divine instruction. According to him, God established CCC Akoka Parish for humanity, to save souls, extend mercy, and uphold the pillars of Celestial spirituality.
V/S/E Fetus Otele who is not just a shepherd, he is a vessel of divine commitment, a born Celestial, and a seasoned Prophet whose life has been a testimony of unwavering love for the vineyard of God. From his youthful years, he embraced the calling of the Church with passion and sacrifice, believing that the work of God must be done with excellence and total obedience to His will.
Instrumental in the establishment of CCC Akoka Parish, Lagos in 1975, he invested his time, resources, and spiritual strength to ensure that the parish stood firmly on the path of purpose. He believed and still believes that CCC Akoka Parish was founded on the strict instructions of God, and that its assignment was never ordinary. It was and remains a mandate for humanity, a center of deliverance, and a dwelling place of God’s mercy.
Over the decades, CCC Akoka Parish has taken responsibility for God’s work with humility and grace. It has consistently preached salvation, offered hope to the hopeless, and embraced the core values of Celestial Church of Christ holiness, worship, evangelism, and love. Its altar has witnessed testimonies. Its aisles have felt tears of repentance and joy. Its mission remains clear: extend the message of Jesus Christ to all people and preserve the sacred identity of Celestial Church of Christ calling. With a strong tone of admiration, he acknowledged the tremendous progress made by the parish over the years, noting that CCC Akoka Parish has never deviated from God’s purpose. The church continues to: Promote the core values of Celestial Church of Christ, Extend the message of deliverance and salvation to all, Stand as a lighthouse in Lagos, offering hope to the hopeless, Raise prophets, evangelists, and committed Celestials who understand the spiritual ethics of the church.
Today, V/S/E Fetus Otele serves not only as a witness of Akoka’s historic journey but also as a global ambassador of God’s work. He currently shepherds CCC Providence Parish, Rhode Island, USA, and serves as the Head of Region A, USA Diocese. His presence in America continues to raise the Celestial Church of Christ banner with dignity and spiritual excellence. Even from afar, his heart remains connected to Akoka Parish, the land where destiny began. With great optimism, he believes that the upcoming 50th Annual Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service, scheduled for 7th December 2025 will be another divine step toward greater glory, renewed commitment, and deeper spiritual expansion. It will be a season of remembrance, rededication, and revival.
V/S/E Otele expressed deep admiration to the current Shepherd of CCC Akoka Parish, Lagos in person of Prophet Segun Ademusire whom he described as “a man with endless strength for God’s work.” He commended his courage, determination, spiritual maturity and unshakable commitment to the progress of the parish. “I salute the spirit-filled leadership of Prophet Segun Ademusire. He carries the fire of God with humility, passion and true Celestial discipline. His continuous efforts show that the seed planted in 1975 has continued to grow, Prophet Segun Ademusire has displayed an endless commitment to God’s work. His energy and devotion to the altar of CCC Akoka Parish are worthy of commendation,” he affirmed.
As CCC Akoka Parish prepares for its 50th Annual Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service scheduled for Sunday, 7th December 2025, V/S/E Otele believes this year will mark another divine chapter in the journey of the parish. He testified with confidence that the harvest will not just be a celebration, but an elevation of the parish into deeper spiritual commitment and divine favour. He urged all members, past and present, friends of the parish and lovers of CCC worldwide to support the harvest as an act of faith in the God of Celestial. “CCC Akoka Parish is more than a building. It is a spiritual assignment. It was born from God, sustained by God, and will continue to move forward by the grace of God. Truly, it has been a touch of salvation – and the best is yet to come!”
