This revelation comes from M/S/E Nunayon who delivered the sermon at the Centenary birthday celebration of Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Emmanuel Oshin. The event drew thousands of Celestial members from near and far to honour a father who has dedicated his life to spreading the true Gospel and furthering the mission of Celestial Church of Christ.
The Thanksgiving Service, held at CCC National Headquarters in Makoko, Lagos State on 25th January 2025 was a joyous occasion filled with well-wishes, shepherds, families, and church members who all came together to celebrate Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Emmanuel Oshin’s 100th birthday.
During the sermon delivered by the third hierarchy in the Church, Most Superior Evangelist Nunayon, the audience learned about the challenges faced by the Celebrant. He shared a powerful story from 2001/2002 when he and Baba Oshin wore a single garment for three days, praying and fasting for guidance during a crisis in the Church. Despite facing attacks and condemnation from within the Church, they sought solace at the grave of the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa. Baba Oshin called upon the spirit of the Pastor Founder to rise up to the challenges, but the unrest still lingers today, with those responsible sitting among them.
M/S/E Nunayon passionately recounts the trials and tribulations faced by the church in year 2001, highlighting the unwavering strength of Baba Oshin and a few others who stood firm during that challenging period. However, he laments the return of some individuals who caused disunity within the church, leading to spiritual attacks and confrontations at CCC Ijaiye Cathedral Abeokuta.
Despite facing numerous spiritual attacks, Baba Oshin has remained steadfast in his faith, refusing to succumb to the evil influences that have infiltrated the church. M/S/E Nunayon marvels at Baba Oshin’s resilience and attributes his longevity and good health to the grace of God. He warns against individuals who have turned to herbalism and fetish activities, urging them to distance themselves from such practices as they will ultimately be disgraced by God. M/S/E Nunayon emphasizes the importance of staying true to the teachings of the Church’s founder, Rev SBJ Oshoffa, and avoiding materialistic temptations that may lead to the loss of one’s spiritual integrity.
In a fervent tone, M/S/E Nunayon urges members to remain vigilant and steadfast in their faith, reminding them that God will ultimately expose and disgrace those who engage in nefarious activities within the church. The dedication and unwavering faith of Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Emmanuel Oshin and his commitment to the Church’s mission are truly inspiring. The celebration was a testament to his legacy and the impact he has had on the lives of so many.
