INSTALLATION OF LED SCREEN AT MERCYLAND DURING CONVOCATION

It has become evident that the basilica is unable to accommodate all members during the annual convocation. Therefore, it is imperative that the media team of the Pastor takes immediate action to run an underground cable from the basilica to Mercyland. This will allow members who are unable to access the basilica to participate in the service from their location at Mercyland during the convocation.

As such, the Church authority specifically the Imeko Convocation Committee should consider installing a full display screen on the roof of the basilica instead of placing banners of the Pastor’s picture at the front. This full display screen at the entrance will help reduce the number of worshippers inside the basilica during the next convocation.

In addition to negotiating the sound system of the basilica for permanent usage, the purchase of LED screens should also be included in the plans. This will enhance the overall experience for all members attending the convocation.

ADDITIONAL EXIT POINT FROM IMEKO

In order to alleviate the congestion and long wait times experienced by members leaving Imeko after services, a new exit point should be proposed. It has been observed that some members have resorted to leaving early, immediately after the prayers of seven members, to avoid the traffic. Unfortunately, the locals in Imeko have taken advantage of the situation by capitalizing on the lack of organization, charging for parking, selling water for bathing, and extorting money from members taking alternate routes after the convocation.

To address these issues, the Church authority and the ICC should work on a comprehensive plan that will includes a well-designed layout of roads and buildings on the Church land. This plan will create an additional entrance and exit road, similar to those found in other denominational camps. By implementing this plan, we aim to streamline traffic flow, improve the overall experience for members, and prevent exploitation by locals.

We understand the importance of efficient traffic management and are committed to providing a safe and hassle-free environment for all members attending services at Imeko.

IMEKO CONVOCATION COMMITTEE 2024 PERFORMANCE

The Task Force Committee demonstrated exceptional commitment and determination during the 2024 convocation. Members of the committee dedicated hours to monitoring all activities at Mercy land, ensuring a smooth flow of events. The male task force worked diligently at the gate post, facilitating the movement of attendees and preventing traffic congestion caused by vehicles.

The Prophet/Prophetess Committee effectively coordinated the prayer sessions at Mercy land, displaying unwavering focus on their assigned tasks. However, the executives of the ICC were primarily observed at the Pastor’s house, seemingly preoccupied with monitoring the building as if anticipating a security threat.

In terms of performance evaluation, the Task Force Committee scored 80%, while the Prophet/Prophetess Committee achieved a 70% rating. The physical presence and appearance of the ICC executives received a lower score of 30%.

While the ICC executives may have perceived a division of labour among the committees, it is essential for the ICC to prioritize proper assessment and monitoring of duties rather than focusing solely on the Pastor’s house. The 2024 Convocation in Imeko serves as a benchmark for the Church authority to establish a new Imeko Convocation Committee tasked with modernizing infrastructure for future convocations. Continuous church administration policies should be implemented, with the expectation of new leadership to oversee upcoming convocations.
