In the sacred history of Celestial Church of Christ, certain men emerged not merely as workers in the vineyard, but as pillars who stood firmly beside the Pastor-Founder, Rev. Pastor Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa. These men understood the rudimental system of the Church, embraced its spiritual discipline, and laboured tirelessly to ensure that the divine vision was preserved, structured, and expanded.
They were not seekers of fame, but custodians of a heavenly mandate; Late Rev. Pastor A.A. Bada, the Administrator and Custodian of Doctrine. Rev. Pastor Alexander Abiodun Bada stands tall in the annals of the Church as a disciplinarian and a firm defender of Celestial doctrines. As the first Shepherd of the National Headquarters, Makoko, Lagos State, he laid a solid administrative and structural foundation that strengthened the Church’s operational framework.
He worked closely with the Pastor-Founder with remarkable loyalty and humility. Notably, history records no dispute between him and the Founder, a rare testimony of alignment, obedience, and spiritual maturity. Rev. Pastor Bada was deeply committed to upholding the Church’s teachings, ensuring that worship patterns, spiritual ordinances, and administrative systems were not diluted. His disciplined approach brought order, clarity, and continuity.
Beyond administration, he was a stabilizing force, a man who understood that structure is essential for spiritual sustainability. His contributions ensured that the Church was not only spiritually vibrant but institutionally grounded.
Late Superior Evangelist Ajelekoko, another towering figure was Superior Evangelist Ajelekoko, the first recorded Nigerian to join the fold of Celestial Church. His story is one of rare commitment, humility, and unwavering respect for spiritual authority.
He never sought position or rank. Titles did not define him; service did. His primary concern was the extension of the Church to humanity. He patiently worked alongside the very man he introduced to the Church, demonstrating extraordinary humility and understanding of divine order.
Superior Evangelist Ajelekoko was known for his deep sense of responsibility and loyalty to members. He valued the heavenly assignment far above material gain. His life was a living sermon, that leadership in the vineyard of God is about sacrifice, not status.
During the eras of both the Founder and Rev. Pastor A.A. Bada, the Church witnessed remarkable international expansion. As Late Rev Pastor P.H Ajose who served as Overseas Head of the Church in those formative years, this leader became instrumental in sustaining and establishing Celestial Church of Christ in the Western world.
He carried the vision of an African-founded Church into unfamiliar territories, introducing its spiritual identity into Western environments without compromising its divine mandate. Through wisdom, patience, and cultural sensitivity, he helped position the Church as a global spiritual movement rather than a regional assembly.
His commitment ensured that what began as a revival movement in Africa blossomed into a worldwide mission. He understood that the Gospel knows no geographical boundary.
What united these three wise men was not ambition but alignment. They understood the vision of Rev. Pastor Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa and subordinated personal interests to divine purpose.
They upheld doctrine.
They strengthened administration.
They expanded evangelism.
They preserved unity.
They valued heavenly assignment above earthly recognition
In every divine movement, God raises men who stand beside the visionary to translate revelation into structure, passion into order, and prophecy into sustainability. These men were more than assistants; they were destiny helpers in the divine assignment of the Celestial Church of Christ.
Their memory remains a call to present and future leaders: Serve faithfully. Protect the vision. Honour divine order. And value heavenly mandate above personal gain.
