The altercation took place during the parish’s harvest celebration of the Parish which held on the 22nd September 2024, when two of the Pastor Founder’s children confronted White Lion for his criticisms of the Oshoffa dynasty on social media. The confrontation caught the attention of Prophetess Edith Oshoffa, the Parish planter who requested a clear explanation from her siblings regarding the accusations against White Lion.
In response to the claims made by her siblings, White Lion reiterated his belief that the PASTORSHIP of the Church should not be considered an inheritance of the Pastor Founder’s property. He also expressed disapproval of certain actions taken by members of the family in relation to the Church. White Lion further clarified that he does not attack the Oshoffa dynasty, but rather condemns any actions taken by individual within Oshoffas that go against the established rules of the church. He maintained his stance that the PASTORSHIP of the church should not be passed down as an inheritance within the Oshoffa family.
In an effort to gain a clearer understanding of the situation, Edith Oshoffa invited her brother, A/M/S/E Ebenezer Oshoffa (Shepherd of CCC Olowu Cathedral, Lagos Island) to join the conversation. The discussion lasted for over 40 minutes, during which Edith Oshoffa posed a direct question to A/M/S/E Ebenezer Oshoffa: “Is the Church meant to be solely inherited by the Oshoffa family?”
A/M/S/E Ebenezer Oshoffa patiently explained that the Church is not and cannot be the exclusive inheritance of the Oshoffa family. He said the Pastor Founder (their father) made it clear that the Church should be maintained by Elders, not by the Oshoffa family.
Prophetess Edith Oshoffa then advised her siblings to let go of the idea of controlling the church, emphasizing that it belongs to the entire congregation of Celestial Church of Christ worldwide. She also stressed the importance of upholding their father’s name as a significant identifier, which the children must protect through their behaviour both within and outside of the Church.
