Among those who used their talents and energy to spread the teachings of God through music, Apostle Remi Olabanji stood out with his powerful voice championing the preservation of our church. However, illness forced him to step back from the musical stage in recent years, limiting his public engagements to various church events such as harvest, investitures, naming ceremonies, and musical cantatas etc.
During the harvest event at CCC Mokola Parish in Ibadan, it was observed that Apostle Remi Olabanji was conspicuously absent on the 1st of September 2024. Some invited guests had to check on him in his room within the parish premises, where they found him lying on the bed, unable to walk without assistance.
Apostle Remi Olabanji has undeniably played a significant role in the revitalization of our church. He has consistently advocated for unity and shares the same vision as the majority of members who support the church’s mission, as established by the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa.
Currently, Apostle Remi Olabanji is facing serious health challenges that are deteriorating rapidly. His physical condition does not reflect that of a healthy individual. It is crucial that the Church authority take immediate action to address this concerning situation. A subcommittee should be established to provide assistance, monitor his health, and implement a proactive assessment of all those who had sacrifice of the Church who are facing some difference. This would demonstrate the Church’s commitment to supporting those who have dedicated their lives to serving the Church. It is important to act now rather than waiting for a tragic event to occur, rising millions of Naira for their burial.
