The news spread like wildfire following a report by Celestial Reality Check (CRC), which highlighted the unrest that has been brewing in the Parish for years. The social media platform posts containing evidence caught the attention of the Taskforce Committee, prompting them to launch a thorough investigation in collaboration with CRC.
The Taskforce Committee wasted no time in visiting the Parish to gather information directly from members. Parishioners expressed their dissatisfaction with the Shepherd’s behaviour with the words of threats, particularly citing the unacceptable words spoken by the Shepherd’s children to the congregation. The visit provided an opportunity for all parties to voice their concerns, with the Taskforce even live streaming the proceedings on their Facebook page for Celestials worldwide to witness the situation first-hand.
A/M/S/E Adjovi, who is also made himself available in the Parish, got valuable information on the situation at hand. He said the Shepherd without the consent of Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa could not justify his prolonged stay in the Parish. The Taskforce Committee Chairman also made a classification regarding the identification of the Shepherd’s wife, who claimed to be the daughter of the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa.
In a bold and decisive move, the Taskforce Committee took action to remove the Shepherd and his assistant, who were constantly at odds. Despite the Shepherd’s claims that no one could remove him from the Parish, the Taskforce Committee Chairman emphasized that since Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa assigned him to the Parish, only the Pastor had the authority to order his removal, which he stay might lead to physical confrontation, A/M/S/E Adjovi maintained that the Pastor is never in support of violence and abuse of the church doctrines, while the Pastor always advocate for the safety of every member of the church, he further intensified that when the Pastor return back to the country, he will announce a substantive shepherd of the Parish, he later said pending the return of the Pastor, Superior Evangelist Ayeni Dayo Johnson should step aside.
The Taskforce Committee’s swift and resolute actions have brought clarity and order to the situation, ensuring that the Parish operates smoothly and in accordance with the Pastor’s directives.
