This positive outcome can be attributed to the unwavering dedication of the Taskforce Committee, in conjunction with the Transfer Committee and the Pastor’s Office. Through their collaborative efforts, they have ensured that the transfer process is conducted in a transparent manner, with thorough documentation checks being carried out to identify qualified clergies.
The Taskforce Committee took it upon themselves to create an open enrollment list for checks and balances through a refocused agenda to ensure a smooth exercise. Additionally, the Taskforce Committee made a compliant desk available for shepherds who may have experienced any negative reactions during the process, while a live streamed was also made available for members to show online.
Chairman of the Taskforce Committee, A/M/S/E Adjovi emphasized that the exercise became a reality after carefully analysing the input of Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa. He said the Pastor expressed concerns that shepherds who had complied with the Church rules should not be disengaged, as some allegations were reported regarding the lack of proper assessment. The Chairman also stated that the new ideals are here to stay, and the Taskforce Committee will not compromise in creating a legitimate environment for shepherds to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
The Chairman of the Taskforce Committee also issued a stern warning to shepherds and parishes that falsely claim to be Regional or Area Heads, in direct contradiction to the Pastor’s approved list of 38 Regional Heads. The Committee Chairman emphasized that any individuals who act against the Pastor’s directives will face consequences.
It was made abundantly clear by the Taskforce Committee that the Church authority will not tolerate any negative behavioural attitudes from parishes that reject shepherds. The Chairman emphasized that the decision to welcome a new shepherd into a parish should be the responsibilities of such parishioners. He advised shepherds to strictly adhere to the Pastor’s instructions and the guidelines outlined in the approved letter provided to them.
The Chairman warned that any shepherds who fail to comply with the Pastor’s directives will face severe consequences in accordance with the church laws. He said it become imperative for shepherds to respect the authority of the Pastor and work diligently to fulfil their duties within the parameters set forth by the church.
Furthermore, the Chairman urged shepherds to refrain from the practice of denying entry to other shepherds into their parishes. He said It’s the Pastor’s authority to transfer shepherds to different parishes, and he has the discretion to do so at any time. He explained imperative that all shepherds adhere to the Pastor’s decisions and respect his authority in these matters.
Overall, the commitment and cooperation of these committees have led to a more efficient and fair distribution of transfer letters, benefiting all shepherds involved.
