In a resolute decision, 12 shepherds have united to address issues of misconduct within the church in the state. Their message has resonated throughout Edo State, advocating for a church where God’s instructions are strictly adhered to. The shepherds have specifically raised concerns about the indiscriminate placement of altars, emphasizing the need for a more thoughtful and intentional approach to altar placement.
In an effort to correct the narrative, the group has formed a strong bond against all forms of fetish practices and those who also establish Fellowship centers throughout the state, creating a parallel vision to that of the Church’s mission.
The 12 shepherds have made a clear intention to collaborate closely with the Taskforce Committee in the state. Their goal is to address the various challenges plaguing the church in the state and work towards eliminating them. This collaboration will serve as the pastor’s eyes and ensure that issues are promptly escalated to him for attention.
The group, who publicly declared their intention known after a closed-door meeting with Pastor Rev. EMF Oshoffa, where the group analysed the lack of proactiveness in the affairs of the church in Edo State. The group also refuted rumors circulating from some quarters that they were a rebellious group, deeming them baseless with an attempts to perpetuate the abuse of church laws and a disconnection from God’s principles.
Furthermore, the group unequivocally declared their unwavering loyalty to Pastor His Eminence Rev. EMF Oshoffa. They reaffirmed their commitment to following a leader who fosters an environment of love, respect and togetherness within the church. It was made clear that their passion for the church remains steadfast, with a focus on building harmony among the followers of Jesus Christ and protecting the church’s image in all aspects.
