The turnout was substantial, with high expectations from the those shepherds. However, the physical absence of the Pastor raised concerns, as shepherds reported unpleasant interactions with senior clergy members. Additionally, the transfer committee was unable to provide a clear explanation for the delay in distributing the letters to the shepherds for their respective duty posts.
There have been rumours circulating from various sources regarding the sudden postponement of transfer letters. Some speculate that the delay was due to reports of shepherds failing to pay their monthly returns to the Pastor’s Office. Others have heard that the Pastor halted the distribution due to allegations of individuals padding the authorized list.
Additionally, there have been accusations towards a member of the transfer committee for disrupting the process. It is believed that this individual collected a list of shepherds who did not comply with the Pastor’s directives. Some suggest that the transfer committee member interfered with the process because he was unable to include his candidate on the approved list. These rumours and allegations have caused confusion and uncertainty among the shepherds who are due for transfer.
As of the current report, several shepherds are still stranded at the CCC International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos State. Some of them have resorted to sleep in the premises, while others are unable to gather the necessary funds to return to their respective locations.
Furthermore, the Pastor’s Office has failed to provide any communication to the Church regarding the sudden delay in issuing transfer letters. Additionally, there has been no apology extended to the shepherds who have been inconvenienced by this situation. It is imperative that the Pastor’s Office address these issues promptly and provide clarity to the affected individuals. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable and must be rectified immediately.
