Recently, One Sunday Super posted a video on his Facebook page in which he falsely accused the shepherds of Ekiti State of disrupting the traditions and practices of our church. This video not only highlights his failure to conduct thorough investigations before making claims about hundreds of shepherds in Ekiti State, but also reveals his tendency to distort reality.
A comprehensive explanation was provided to Celestial Prerogative News through a combination of pictures, videos and interviews with the shepherds of the state. It was documented that on Friday, 5th July 2024, all shepherds within the state’s jurisdiction gathered at the Ekiti State Pavilion on New Iyin Road in Ado Ekiti to observe Holy Mary Day, as outlined in section 99 (g) of the CCC Constitution. The event was attended by shepherds, church workers, members and invited guests who came together to honor the holy mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The service was conducted by VSE Anajorin, who led the congregation with a spirit-filled presence, while the state central state led the hymns. VSE Aladeseye, the Regional Head of Ado Ekiti delivered a sermon on the significant benefits of the service on behalf of the Pastor. Additionally, AVSE Moses Iwatade Sobowale provided a lecture on the value of Holy Mary. The gathering was a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience for all those in attendance, as they came together to pay tribute to the holy mother of Jesus Christ.
During the Holy Mary service, the printed program highlighted a special section where the wives of shepherds in the state presented a cultural dance. The dance, which was carefully choreographed, showcased the unity and togetherness among the wives of the shepherds. It served as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to their husbands, who have chosen to walk the righteous path of God.
The Printed programUnfortunately, Sunday Super chose to misrepresent the event by recording videos out of context, giving the general public a false impression of the activities that took place on 5th July 2024. His actions not only lacked respect for journalism but also demonstrated a complete disregard for the truth. Instead of portraying himself as a celestial member, he positioned himself as a mere onlooker, failing to understand the true essence of the church’s glorification.
The shepherds of Ekiti State vehemently denounce Sunday Super position as misguided, reckless and unfounded. The events that took place on the 5th July 2024, did not contradict the doctrinal practices of our church, as claimed by Sunday Super who seems to lack insight.
