The catastrophic event occurred unexpectedly when Senior Evangelist Moses Gbekeoluwa Adesanya who gave involved in an unfortunate situation during a baptism and scarification service at the riverside. This incident caused complete confusion and shock among the church members at his Parish and beyond.
As part of the Church’s doctrinal practice, the Shepherd of CCC Ire Akari Estate Parish was responsible for carrying out baptism service for new converts with the approval of the Pastor Founder. Unfortunately, during the service, one of the lady who was believed to be possessed by a evil spirit got to some unfounded situation that tragically led to the passing away of Senior Evangelist Moses Gbekeoluwa Adesanya.
The situation led to chaos and tension within the church, while church workers who was with their boss at the riverside flee in fear before returning to find their leader lying lifeless on the ground. Despite their faith in resurrection, Senior Evangelist Moses Gbekeoluwa Adesanya’s body was taken to the Parish premises for prayers. The elders present at the scene immediately reported the incident to the police, and his body was later taken to the mortuary.
The Elder proceeded to inform Pastor Founder Rev. SBJ Oshoffa of the passing of one of his staff members. It was revealed that Pastor Founder told the elders to have bring the body of Senior Evangelist Moses Gbekeoluwa Adesanya to KETU first before taken him to the mortuary.

The family has endured the pain of growing up without a father due to his dedication to his duties in the Church.
On the 11th of May 2024, there will be an Amissa Service for Senior Evangelist Moses Gbekeoluwa Adesanya also known as GBEKE at his Parish CCC Gbekeoluwa Memorial Parish, located at St. Michael Cathedral, Igando Parish 1, 16 Akinyemi Street, Igando, Lagos State.
