In a beautiful display of faith and unity, Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa led the way by washing the feet of senior clergies at km 53 Lagos Ibadan Expressway. This annual washing of feet service is a doctrinal practice of the church, symbolizing humility and service.
The event was attended by members of the church hierarchy, including the Head of Diocese, State Evangelists, Divisional Administrative Head, Provincial Head, Circuit Head, and District Head. They collected holy water to their parishes, spreading the blessings far and wide.
Historically, the tradition of washing feet began at CCC National Headquarters in Makoko, Lagos before the Pastor Founder decided to move the events to CCC International Headquarters in Ketu. It was the Late Rev AA Bada who made the decision to relocate the activities to km 53 Lagos Ibadan Expressway due to the rapid growth of parishes in the Church that the CCC International Headquarters could no longer accommodate.
Effect of factionalization also allows othher PASTOR’S, such as Rev Ben Omoge, Rev Adetunji, and Rev Adeogun also participated in washing the feet of their high hierarchy members. This powerful display of faith and tradition shows the strength and dedication of each leadership in their respective locations.
It Is crucial that our Pastors wash feet with a heart full of immense reconciliation, a commitment to rebuilding the structure and a dedication to implementing God’s plan for the Church. This tradition symbolizes unity, humility and servanthood within our congregation.
